Ground coffee is coffee that has been roasted and then ground into a coarse or fine powder, making it ready for brewing. It offers convenience as there is no need to grind the beans yourself. Ground coffee comes in various grind sizes suitable for different brewing methods, ranging from espresso to French press. It's available in light, medium, and dark roasts, with brands like Folgers Classic Roast and Lavazza Espresso Ground Coffee being popular choices.

1. Grind Size and Brewing Method: The grind size should match the brewing method to extract optimal flavor (e.g., fine grind for espresso, coarse grind for French press).

2. Freshness: Ground coffee oxidizes and loses flavor faster than whole beans, so it's important to store it properly and use it within a few weeks of opening.

3. Flavor Profiles: Different roasts provide different flavor profiles; lighter roasts typically have more acidity and nuanced flavors, while darker roasts are bolder and smoother.

When selecting ground coffee, check the packaging date and choose the freshest option available. Store your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark place to preserve its flavors. Sodium and sugar content are not usually concerns with pure ground coffee, but watch out for flavored coffees, which can contain added sugars or artificial flavors.
